My name is Nic Spruill, I live less then a mile from the New River Gorge in Fayetteville WV. I have been climbing almost 10 years here at the New. Most of my climbing life i have spent climbing on boulders here in WV and through out the Southeast. The New River Gorge hides some of the best sand stone boulder I have ever seen. The past two years I have really foused on finding New lines and developing New areas.

Weekend Session

So Saturday after work a few friends and myself desided to go to Hawks Nest Dam for a little afternoon bouldering session. I havent been back down there scense i did the Black Pocket. The water level has been crazy high there too. The boulder field is on the down stream side of the dam so depending on rain fall and snow melt the boulders accessiblity  change daily. So once i got down there i took a walk around and saw that the high water level in past weeks had actually pushed large amounts of drift wood on to the boulder field, a few problems had trees pushed up underneath the starts, well have to go down there with some chain saws to free the lines up. I was able to send a V8 that i have never had to much luck on before. I brought my camera down for some footage of just a few classics .
